Mycelium vormt een complex netwerk van microscopische buisjes die verschillende functies vervullen. Een van de belangrijkste functies is het afscheiden van enzymen om organisch materiaal af te breken en de voedingsstoffen opnieuw beschikbaar te maken voor planten en bomen. Hierdoor is mycelium van vitaal belang voor het bieden van verbindingen in het ecosysteem, wat het de bijnaam \u201chet wood wide web\u201d heeft opgeleverd.<\/p><div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ae0904d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor is-mac\" data-id=\"ae0904d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\"><div class=\"elementor-widget-container\"><p>Er zijn verschillende soorten mycelium, elk met zijn eigen unieke eigenschappen, zoals het mycelium dat bij Citribel wordt geproduceerd. De <i>Aspergillus niger<\/i> schimmel die verantwoordelijk is voor de productie van ons mycelium, is in de loop van decennia ge\u00ebvolueerd om goed te gedijen op suikerbietenmelasse en met hoge effici\u00ebntie citroenzuur te produceren, wat resulteert in de co-productie van mycelium. Wat belangrijk is voor industri\u00eble toepassingen van mycelium, is dat de productie continu, stabiel en op grote schaal plaatsvindt. Met een productie van zes voetbalvelden per dag is Citribel een van de grootste myceliumproducenten tot nu toe.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div>Met een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citribel.com\/nl\/over-ons\/#history\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">100-jarige geschiedenis<\/span><\/a> in <span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">de productie van natuurlijk citroenzuur op industri\u00eble schaal, genereert <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.citribel.com\/nl\/over-ons\/\">Citribel<\/a> <span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">een stabiel, continu volume van nat mycelium dat vergelijkbaar is met ongeveer zes voetbalvelden per dag.<\/span>\u00a0<br \/><p>Dit maakt Citribel evenzeer een mycelium producent als een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citribel.com\/nl\/producten-diensten\/#citric-acid\">producent van citroenzuur.<\/a><\/p><p>Na zorgvuldige oogst drogen en malen we de filamenten, waardoor er een uniek mycelium poeder ontstaat. Aangezien er geen extra processen nodig zijn voor de productie, is het een milieuvriendelijke en duurzame bron. Ons droge myceliumpoeder is een hoogwaardig component dat gemakkelijk mengt met bestaande mengsels en formuleringen.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>Het kan worden gebruikt als biomateriaal in toepassingen zoals vegan lederwaren, luxe verpakkingen, meubels, in de auto-industrie etc.<\/p><p>Na het extraheren van de eiwitten blijft er een product over dat rijk is aan b\u00e8ta-glucanen, die het immuunsysteem kunnen versterken om infecties te bestrijden.
